Staying motivated as a blogger can be a little difficult especially if you have been doing it for a while and money isn’t coming in.I have totally been through that phase,if you are a regular reader of my blog you’ll know this.
In this blog post, I want to share some tips and tricks that helped me get out of that phase and also how I stay motivated as a blogger.
JOIN A BLOGGING COMMUNITY
As a blogger, joining a community of fellow bloggers that will inspire you with their works and also bloggers who share the same interests as you will keep you updated and inspired to create amazing content.
GET A BLOGGING BUDDY/FRIEND
When I started blogging it felt so lonely but now with social media its alot easier to connect with fellow bloggers and work together. The advantage of this is that you can take each others pictures, edit each others work and also motivate each other.Pictures from my last outfit post were taken by Tonye Igbani who is a fellow blogger that blogs here.
HAVE A BLOGGING SCHEDULE
If you blog once a week, that automatically means that once a week you have the mind set to create content. Doing this over time will become a habit.
TAKE A BLOGGING BREAK
If you find that you are blogging for the wrong reasons or its becoming boring, take a break, refresh yourself and come back after a while.
I took this blogging break and I can say I’m back with a bang.
GET A BLOG PLANNER
I have the blog planner by Deemako and I can say it has been a lifesaver. A blog planner helps you plan ahead and also help you schedule post, events and relevant content for your blog readers/audience.
DO A SURVEY.
Ask your audience what they want to see from you. Blogging about what you feel is a lot different from what your audience want to see.So ask.
ATTEND BLOGGING EVENTS
Attending events will help you connect with other bloggers and enhance your relationship with other bloggers.
EXAMINE YOUR ANALYTICS
What posts are people reading more on your blog? You should key into that. what days do people come to your blog more? put up posts on that day. What time do they read your blog more? have posts ready for them when they come.
HAVE A BLOG ROLE MODEL
A blog role model can be a source of inspiration and from time to time you can ask them questions. You don’t necessarily have to send a full length mail you can just send questions via comment section or Instagram and you’ll be surprised they’ll respond.
RE-BRAND YOUR BLOG
You might lack motivation ‘cos your blog looks messed up. Clear out your side bar, keep things simple and have a colour theme. Having a clean and easy to read blog will motivate you to blog.
